How To Go Viral

Why do some videos get all the attention, and others don’t even get a chance at being yawned at?

We all know by now that embarrassing bodily functions such as burping, farting, and “queafing” (vaginal farts) seem to be ever-so popular on Youtube, but these days, it’s also clever and entertaining content that turns our heads and holds our attention.

The band OK GO has that combination down pat. Within a month, this online sensation had yet another viral video on their hands:

What’s cuter and hipper than dogs walking wherever you want them to, combined with music, and a plea to help shelter animals? Maybe only cat yodeling by engineers. Solid content is a must, but so is entertaining delivery and a passion for excellence.

What do you need to do to get your art noticed? If bodily functions isn’t your thing, find out what is. And if it’s legal, go for it!

Ah, I was giving examples of bodily sounds, but I could have very well referred to lighting your farts on fire. I think only queafing via South Park would land it on Youtube.
