Design Your Life With Design Sponge
TweetDo you know what I love about the beginning of the year? I love that it is new — it’s a fresh, unblemished year to start over, think outside the box, try something different. How about applying that to place most adults go to five days a week: your work space? Whether you work in an office or work from home, your space might need an artful redo. If so, check out DesignSponge.com.
My new art space is large and so new to me, it’s going to be an ongoing project to get my workspace up to snuff, but eventually I would like a second-story loft with my computer desk looking outwards into the space. For now, however, it’s on the main floor, pointed towards the window. Morning sunlight, however, makes looking at the computer screens difficult, so the task at hand will be to create some kind of screen to block some of the light without blocking the view. That could be in the form of curtains, a shoji screen, or a removable wall. Whatever I choose, however, I’m going to be looking at Design Sponge for clever and artful tips on making my space a cool place to create.
What decorating and design projects are you working on? What might need a “redo” design-wise in your home or work space? Send pictures (before, during, and after), and the best will be reposted here.

HT to GerarldineLilly for turning me on to Design Sponge. She knows that I could use the awesome ideas there to make my space come alive.

Thanks for the SO – also check out apartment therapy and decor8 – there are so many great design sites (besides GL, of course :)) I could spend the day naming all of them!
Of course! And I might just do that — except I fear that I would lose myself in all their beautiful and clever ideas, and would fall away from all good society… (j/k).
