I ‘m a girl [no brainer, here]. I like bright colors, chick drinks, the smell of cucumbers, and red lipstick. My sometimes-resistible splurge is shiny, sparkly jewelry. When my sister and I were growing up, we’d wear our mother’s fake clip on earrings and jewelry, play “dress up” from her closet, and teeter around the floor in her chunky heels. On my nightstand, I always keep one giant bling ring and a large bling-y clip to place on my clothing or hair, just because. While it isn’t my usual MO to use the HFH blog to sell things, I just couldn’t resist passing this along to you: a special affiliate-only, secret Groupon for bling! [oh yes]

This Groupon deal from Jewelclub.com blinded me this morning when I peeked at it from my email inbox on my iPhone4. Bling! Groupon deals like these only last until the end of the day (June 22, 2011). After midnight, the HTML code that generates this ad will revert to a default coupon, so if you happen to see this ad after the above date and time (midnight), you’ll see an entirely different ad [Ed note: yep, the Groupon ad is over now]. Again, it’s only a deal that customers can get if they go through a Groupon affiliate, so while I don’t want to spam you with an ad, I know some of you:

1. like bling (just like me)
2. don’t know a Groupon affiliate other than moi
3. enjoy saving money on something you might be buying for someone this year

These days, I don’t keep much real jewelry. The bling-y fake stuff is good enough for me, especially since I’m prone to lose things. Imagine twirling around a restaurant (twice per evening) with bling, and you get the picture: jewelry sometimes goes bye-bye. I don’t want to be crying over the real stuff, but with deals like this Groupon, I can afford some real stuff without crying a river if it’s lost. Hmm, my birthstone is diamond…. heh heh. Maybe it’s time to add to my collection.
