Win A Free 4th Generation iPod Touch
TweetOne of the best ways to get your art noticed is to have a high quality digital recording of your work. Lousy camera, lousy recording. Good camera, better recording. Great camera that’s hard to use, no recording at all.
To celebrate my Hips For Hire’s first anniversary coming up on October 2, 2010, I’m giving away a new 4th generation iPod Touch. It’s got a remarkable and easy-to-use 2-way HD camera that will make recording your work and sharing it with others a breeze. Plus, keep music playlists, use it to teach what you do, Facetime your buddies (or me!), or see how a profile on my site plus coaching each month can help you get hired!
Participants in the drawing must be 18 years of age or older (or you must have a guardian apply for you). You must live in Northwest (Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana), and you must have a recognized art form that you have done for a minimum of one year (lack of evidence on the Internet disqualifies you from the drawing). Folks, I’m starting in my own backyard, but I do hope to have sister-city partners under my umbrella. First, we have to prove that my concept of helping artists and raising money for charities works! But stay tuned for a similar project to come to your neck of the woods.
To qualify for the drawing, here’s the three simple things you need to do:
1. Subscribe to my Hips For Hire blog(on the blog page, upper right hand corner) before Sept.30, 2010. Winner will be selected on Sept 30, and announced on Oct. 2, 2010 (gives me a chance to ship it to you). Please note: if you click on the RSS button at the bottom of the page, you will be only subscribed to receiving the RSS feed of the site, but you will not be subscribed to my website. Please subscribe by entering your email in the box provided, and click “subscribe”).
2. Go to Hips for Hire for Facebook and write a brief paragraph answering the question, “Why should I receive a free iPod Touch from Hips For Hire”. Hint: read through my website if you want to understand what we might be looking for!
3. Share on your Facebook page or Twitter channel by copy/pasting my status updates from the fanpage or my tweets on @HipsForHire from now until Oct. 2, 2010.
The drawing entries will be stopped by midnight Sept. 30 (so we have time to contact the winner and verify if he/she is qualified to win). A winner will be announced Oct. 2, 2010 by noon, after we have confirmed your contact info and a mailing address. The winner will be asked to submit a Youtube-ready video shot from the new iPod Touch within 14 days of the give away.
Now, don’t think you can’t win. You never know. Imagine what you can do with this iPod Touch, and get ready to rawk it on camera!
