Artist Profiles
Hips for Hire Artists Profiles
No matter which kind of profile, each artist on our website is auditioned and/or interviewed. We carefully interview the hiring organization or event planner to get a good “match” between artist and organization, taking out the guesswork.
There are two types of profiles:
1. Free Profile. These were given to a small handful of artists who asked to participate in our Beta test from March 1, 2010 to March 1, 2011. That period is now past. This profile includes a few lines of description about the artist, link-for-link exchange, and an option to place a small picture of their choice. These will remain on the website until the artist requests that it be removed or replaced with a premium profile.
Free profiles include link for link exchange
2. Premium Profile. Any artist (visual, performance art, event support personnel) can apply for a premium paid profile. For $15 per month (three month minimum, then month to month pay-as-you-go service), premium profile artists receive the following:
Profile listing on the HFH registry page +
Single-page website with picture and video, linked to the profile on the HFH registry +
15 minute coaching per month to increase business+
Option to embed showreel onto the website for maximum visibility through Social Media platforms.
Clients select from the profiles, or they may inquire about “best match” options, including event planning resources. We also contact potential clients, and promote premium-level artists first.
CODE OF CONDUCT
Starting with Seattle, Washington as the debut model, we will seek to expand to other cities as we demonstrate together that it is better to collaborate and communicate than to work in isolation. By doing this, we encourage collaboration and discourage greed, diva behavior, and cut-throat competition. Artists who do not abide by our ethics of collaboration will be removed from our listing, with no refund for the remainder of their paid month.
